For the past few weeks we have dreaming, scheming, and searching HARD to find the perfect RV for us. Cees spent countless hours combing Craigslist for RVs in practically every city from California to Kansas. Twice we found promising rigs, contacted the owners, and were ready to go pick them up in Colorado, but both fell through in the end. We felt like we were getting broken up with over and over again. I began to think this was never going to work out, until….. one night we were at it again, searching Craigslist…page after page of listings…when we came across one ad with very little information, and no pictures, and all it said was that the RV was for sale in Pocatello, ID. This was enough for Cees (the true Idaho boy) to have the urge to call the owner! HA! He’s crazy…We had no idea if this was even the type of RV we were looking for. For all we knew, it could have been one of those pull behind trailers or some sketchy hot mess of an RV. The next thing I heard was Cees making deals over the phone with Jim from Pocatello. Looks like we’re going to Pocatello this weekend I thought! On Saturday, November 9, 2014 we met our first baby–a beautiful 1989 Toyota Odyssey, 1-ton truck, 6 cylinder, 18mpg, 22 foot, perfect home on wheels, complete with wall to wall baby blue carpet and matching velvety curtains.
Here she is folks:
We want to give Our Vie a little make over now. We can’t wait to show you all our plans and renovations!

I love it! I stumbled across you on Instagram via Vladamir and the hash tag #adventurecat or something like that, and I’ve been following your/his adventures ever since. I have also been wondering what the name Our Vie means? Is it RV spelled out? Just curious! Victoria, mama to @lovekittykarma.

Victoria, glad that you have found our site through instagram. We are stoked you found us through #adventurecat! Vie actually means “life” in French. So we call our trip “Our Life”… and it happens to sound like RV when you say it too… double pun!
