And we’re OFF!

The day has finally come!  We have officially launched and we are off to our first National Park!  This trip has been in the works for almost two years now, so it honestly feels a little surreal that we are actually ON THE ROAD.

If you want to get stoked with us, watch our short launch video:

We have put in countless hours planning, back-up planning, and trying to come up with all of the possible scenarios that we might encounter.  You may have noticed in the video, we are stoked to announce that we have teamed up with Chaco and a few other important supporting sponsors to be able to make this trip happen.  It has been awesome to work with these companies and get their support as we live our dreams.

I feel like we have prepared for most things, but I would be lying if I said that I wasn’t scared.  I’m terrified that everything will fall apart and this whole dream will crash and burn.  It is my number one fear – to fail.  I think that it is also the number one most exciting part of this whole thing!  It is so exciting to try things that are “risky”.  It is easy to set out to do the things that you KNOW you can handle.  However, it is far more interesting to attempt to accomplish something that you really don’t know if you can.

An Adventure is defined as “a hazardous and exciting activity, especially the exploration of unknown territory.”  A lot of times I would associate adventure with climbing, biking, hiking or something that has to do with the outdoors.  But as of late, I have changed my perspective on what “qualifies” as adventuring.  You don’t have to be outside to adventure.  You can adventure in all sorts of aspects of your life.  Your new job can be an adventure.  Your relationships with family and neighbors can definately be an adventure.  Any endevour that you are unsure about the outcome is an adventure!  We are all adventurerers in our own ways.

We hope that you will be excited as we share our upcoming adventure in the our National Parks.  Stay tuned!

Love it! Vlad the kitty seems to like it, is he pretty adventurous or does he get scared on occasion?

I would say he gets annoyed more than anything. “Why couldn’t I have gotten ANY other hoomans?! Always dragging me around on a leash…”

So cool. You guys are living the dream! Love it when people grab life by the dangly bits and go for broke. Am looking forward to following your adventures, living vicariously and getting my kitten fix all at the same time! Best of luck.
